About
Hi, I'm Natasha.
I'm an educator, writer, trauma recovery coach, and single-lone mom who lives with my son in the Greater Toronto Area. I also spend time with families through The Sashbear Foundation as a peer facilitator in the Family Connections Program and recently joined CAMH's Family Advisory Committee. I understand first-hand the systemic challenges that single/lone mothers face as they raise their children, and also put to use my BA in English Literature and MEd in Social Justice Education as I read, research, and write about lone motherhood. My writing can be found here. |
My Journey From having a child at 19, to living in Asia, to travelling to more than fifty countries, my story has been anything but linear. Along the way, I have learned to navigate the difficult alongside the beautiful. For most of my life, I was navigating complex trauma without realizing it. I know what it feels like to keep trying to make things work - reading the books, trying all the things - yet to keep coming up short. Trauma recovery was the essential missing piece for me that allowed me to sooth my nervous system and allow me to integrate what I knew, believed, and valued. Now, I want to help others as they navigate their own journeys. |
